For seven months of the year 2001 AVTOVAZ produced 439, 669 cars. This figure represented 101,8 % of planned output. From January to July 46, 760 "Lada" cars were sold to foreign markets, which represented more than 103 % of planned export program. In relation to the same period in the year 2000, production volume has increased over 8 %.
        129, 593 cars of "Lada-110" family were manufactured for seven months. It is 3,000 vehicles more than planned. 46, 760 "Lada-110" cars with 16-valve engine were produced. It is worth mentioning that these cars not only have excellent performance qualities and low fuel consumption, but also meet Euro-2 requirements. These norms come into power in Russia from 1 July, 2002. Nowadays AVTOVAZ is the only Russian car -producer, which manufactures vehicles, meeting safety and ecology requirements.
      Production and efficient sales programs let AVTOVAZ pay taxes in due time.
      The assembly factories, producing "Lada" cars, can be considered as a continuation of the main conveyer of AVTOVAZ. These factories were able to multiply the achievements of VAZ workers. For seven months 22, 844 cars (VAZ-2106, VAZ-21093) were assembled at RosLADA factory in Syzran. Automobile factory in Lutsk, Ukraine (LuAZ) produced 2,046 cars, including VAZ-21043, VAZ-2107, VAZ-21093, VAZ-21099. Ecuador plant workers assembled 1, 989 off-road vehicles "Niva" with electronic fuel injection and ignition system.
